Don't miss this opportunity to help shape the future of Bentonville.

Completing another step forward in its Plan Bentonville process, the City of Bentonville has released the second draft of its Community Code, the proposed Unified Development Code that’s been in development since April of this year.
Public review and comment is encouraged through September 30.
This release is especially notable because, for the first time, residents, business owners, and others can review both the regulations and the zoning map together, allowing them to understand how their property may be included in or affected by the proposed changes.
This latest draft reflects feedback from across the community. More than 500 comments were submitted on the first draft by city staff, city council members, planning commissioners, neighborhood groups, and residents. That input has helped shape a stronger, clearer document that better reflects Bentonville’s shared priorities for the future.
“This is a textbook example of the community engagement that has characterized the entire Plan Bentonville process,” said Planning Director Tyler Overstreet. “We thank everyone who contributed to or participated in the review of the first draft. Your voices are making this code better, and ensuring it reflects the needs of our city.”
The Community Code’s second draft and draft zoning map can be found here. The City encourages all residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to explore the code and map, share feedback online, or contact staff directly with questions.
A final draft is expected to be released in October.
