Miss the meeting? This post will get you up to speed.

On Thursday, July 17, a near-overflow crowd gathered in the Walmart Room at the Bentonville Public Library for a first look at the city’s draft Unified Development Code, now known officially as the Bentonville Community Code.
According to Planning Director Tyler Overstreet, “This is making sure that the vision we talked about in Phase 1 [of the Plan Bentonville process] is actually actionable. [..] It’s not necessarily a development code, it’s our Community Code. It’s the values and the rule book that we all want to share as development is coming forward.”
The meeting began with a presentation by Matt Lambert of DPZ CoDesign, then adjourned to a series of displays posted around the room where city staff and members of the project team were available for one-on-one questioning.
